UK IGF 2026 - Call for Issues

The UK Internet Governance Forum (IGF) brings people together to discuss public policy issues relating to the Internet, and to shape its future development.

The IGF informs and inspires those with an interest in digital policy and internet governance, offering a space for discussion and debate. In this way, the IGF facilitates a common understanding of how to maximize the opportunities the Internet presents, as well as how we can collectively address the risks and challenges that arise.

This Call for Issues supports the design of the 2026 UK IGF programme, helping the UK IGF Steering Committee understand which issues are of most interest to UK stakeholders. As well as indicating areas of topical focus, there is an open text box at the end for any topics of discussion or ideas you’d like us to consider as we design this year’s event. The deadline for responses is 23:59 on Friday 24 July.

For each section, please select the two issues that appeal most to you.

1. CYBERSECURITY & RESILIENCE (please select 2)

2. DATA GOVERNANCE AND PRIVACY (please select 2)

3. AI AND SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION (please select 2)

4. ONLINE SAFETY AND HUMAN RIGHTS (please select 2)

5. INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL POLICY (please select 2)

6. Please provide any further suggestions for issues/topics for discussion at this year’s UK IGF, or any other suggestions you’d like the UK IGF Steering Committee to consider.

7. What is one topic you’d love to hear a keynote on, and who would you like to hear from?
